We go here regularly primarily for fuel, as it's almost $1 per gallon cheaper than across the bridge in WA. Be aware that there's only one fuel pump outside of the big rig lanes which has diesel. Plan accordingly.

Mom n pop truck stop just across the Wa. Line. Restaurant was what I expected as far as interior food was much better than expected! Large portions and cooked perfectly. Drove past here many times but never stopped, won't make that mistake again! Waitresses were very nice and service was good.

They have a rib eye breakfast special so he got the steak a la carte and a small chef salad. Service is great and so is everything else!! Wow. The steak ( oops no pix) was fabulous. Cause I got three bites he he. And the 1000 dressing has a bit of a horseradish flavor he said. It's good. A good stop on a tues morning!

Road Trip 2014 and we're in Umatilla, Oregon on the way to Portland. Where to eat, where to eat? There aren't a ton of choices in Umatilla so we looked at Yelp, flipped a coin and ended up at Crossroads Truck Stop. They have a Mini-Mart, Lounge and Diner. It was a tad confusing when we entered the restaurant. We saw the counter seating and some folks sitting in booths. We looked at them and they looked at us, but no employees to be seen. We walked in a bit deeper and saw a cook sitting at a table, probably on his break and two servers, one at the register, counting money. We asked if we should just seat ourselves and we were told to do so. We waited a couple of minutes before one of the servers said that she'd be right with us. It became apparent to us that we had walked in during shift change. Once things got rolling, we were pleasantly surprised. Service was friendly and adequate for a diner environment. A little polish would definitely make our server an all-star. The food was surprisingly excellent! I had a dinner portion of Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes, Corn and the optional Sausage Gravy. The steak nearly covered the plate, it was so large. Perfectly breaded and covered with a peppery sausage gravy. The corn and accompanying garlic bread were merely bystanders in a sea of goodness. She had the Fried Chicken with French Fries and Corn. There were also four half-slices of white toast that didn't really seem to belong since there was no butter or sauce. Regardless, the Fried Chicken was terrific. Even the Breast piece was moist. The crust was crunchy and well seasoned. The French Fries were right out of the fryer and hot and crispy. Oh yes. Each meal was served with your choice of Soup or Salad. I took the Chicken Noodle Soup and she got a Mixed Green Salad. Neither was particularly special but both were good. In spite of our usually large appetites, we both ended up with leftovers.
